Special Open Eastern Freestyle Aerial Event

On Saturday February 9th, Freestyle America and The Olympic Regional Development Authority of New York will host a one day, two competition aerial event to be held at the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid, New York. Although this is short notice, it is important for Eastern aerialists to have 2 events prior to February 11 in order for those athletes to appear on the Feb. 15 point list, which will be used for selection to JO's, Qualifiers, and Junior Worlds. Unfortunately, all other Eastern aerial competitions up to this date have been forced to cancel due to weather. The details are as follows:

Date:

February 9, 2002 (Saturday)

Format:

2 Competitions Each competition will consist of 2 jumps, both to count.

Who can compete:

All aerialists with at least 1 qualified jump, ECS (A's) or EQS (B's) athletes

Cost:

$100 includes entry to both events and lift tickets

Schedule:

	8:00 Registration (OJC Base lodge)
	8:30 Hill preparation (all athletes and coaches requested to assist)
	9:00- 10:30 Training
	11:00 Event #1
	12:00 Event #2
	1:30 Awards

Training Information:

Invert training occurs daily all week prior to the event and on the day of.

Registration:

All registration will occur on the day of the events. Please notify Nick Preston, ASAP, with your intention to compete.
