Waterville

The Waterville Valley Freestyle Program seeks to fill several coaching positions for the 2006-07 season. The Waterville Valley Freestyle Program is a USSA award winning program that offers ski academy and weekend training programs in all freestyle and freeride disciplines. Waterville Valley Academy

Mogul Coach Position:    Time period:      Nov. 1-April 1. Full-time.    Salary and benefits:    To be based on candidate's qualifications and experience. Job Description:       This coach shall work primarily with the Academy athletes who ski on the Eastern "A" circuit, several of whom shall be skiing Nor-Ams. The job requires a knowledge of competitive mogul skiing, physical conditioning programs, and athlete management.  Mogul course building and maintenance is also an important requirement.  Trampoline coaching knowledge is helpful, but is not a necessary requirement.

Waterville Valley Academy Freeride Coach Position: Time period:      Nov. 1-April 1. Full-time.    Salary and benefits:    To be based on candidate's qualifications and experience. Job Description:       The WVA Freeride Program includes experienced competitive athletes who compete in all major freeride and freeskiing events, including half-pipe, slopestyle, and big air. The Waterville Valley Freeride Team attends USSA events, FIS Halfpipe events, several significant Open events, and numerous other local events. The WVA Freeride coaching position requires knowledge of technical skiing and freeride skills, physical conditioning. course safety and management, air site and slopestyle construction and  maintenance, and athlete management. Trampoline coaching knowledge is helpful, but not a requirement.

WV Freestyle Team (WVBBTS) Weekend Coaching Positions    Time period: Nov. 24-April 1. All weekends and vacation weeks (@50 days) Compensation:    Coaches are paid per diem based on qualifications.  Job Description:       WVBBTS weekend coaches are responsible for the training of weekend program athletes ages 9-19. The weekend coaching program includes all disciplines of USSA Freestyle, including  moguls, aerials, half-pipe, slopestyle, and big air.  Several teaching positions remain available at WVA should a coaching candidate wish to supplement their winter job experience and compensation. This is not a requirement, however.

NYSEF Head Freestyle Coach

Hunter Mountain

 Hunter Mountain has the following Freestyle coaching positions available

J6 (ages 7-8) Coaches - This is a new group beginning this season - a non-traveling introduction to competition program. Applicants must have current knowledge of mogul skiing/Freestyle skiing, minimum USSA Level 100 and ASEP certification (working towards advancing certification level, PSIA will be considered), former competitor, strong fundamental ski skill base, be mature, responsible, have an outgoing personality, positive attitude and be team player. Good athlete management skills. Coach will be expected to utilize USSA/PSIA set and/or other recommended programs.

A and B Level Mogul Coaches (ages 9-18) - Applicants must have current knowledge of mogul skiing/Freestyle skiing, minimum USSA Level 100 and ASEP certification (working towards advancing certification level, PSIA will be considered), former competitor, strong fundamental ski skill base, be mature, responsible, have an outgoing personality, positive attitude and be team player. Good athlete management skills. Coach will be expected to utilize USSA/PSIA and/or other recommended programs. Current USSA membership required. Travel required.

All Coaches report directly to the Race Director. Competitive salary is commensurate with experience.
